Meet Julia

I am a mother on a mission to make sure no one walks through postpartum feeling alone.

Hi!

Meet Julia, founder of Motherhold.

I graduated from Stockton University in 2015 with a bachelors of science in nursing and a minor in holistic health. In that same year, I also began my path as a yoga teacher. I’ve received certifications in critical care nursing, reiki, and completed over 650 hours in yoga trainings. I worked as a RN in telemetry, cardiothoracic intensive care, electrophysiology, and post anesthesia care up until my daughter was born.

After delivering my beautiful daughter in 2023, I experienced postpartum PTSD. However, I didn’t know it in the moment. I couldn’t see myself clearly. I was in pure survival mode. Looking back on that incredibly hard time, I realized that what I needed then was support, community, and resources.

So, I created Motherhold to offer you a soft place to land before, during, or after the wild transformation of becoming a mother.

Then, in 2026, I got pregnant with my second child. He received a fatal diagnosis at our anatomy scan at 18 weeks. After a few weeks of second and third opinions, ultrasounds, and MRIs, we had to go through TFMR (termination for medical reasons). Because of the current legislation, I had to travel out of state to be induced, endure labor and a stillbirth, say goodbye to my sweet boy, and get on a plane the next day to return to parenting my oldest.

With all of my pain, love, and grief, I hold space for each and every one of you.

Because mothers hold everything — and we deserve a place to be held, too.
